My Debit Card From Taishin Bank Looks Fake

Getting a debit card in Taiwan is much harder than it is in the States, as apparently most banks don't offer it (Although, weirdly enough, the Post does, because in Taiwan, the national Postal Service also offers banking services).

During my first stint in Taiwan 10 years ago, I had already established accounts with Bank SinoPac and E. Sun banks, so they were the first banks I tried. Unfortunately, neither banks offer debit cards. Finally, I found out Taishin Bank (台新銀行) does, and so I opened an account with them. However, upon receiving my card, I noticed the oddity above in regards to my "Valid From" date. I had to double-check with bank personnel to make sure my card would work, because the date make the card totally look fake.
